One of the requirements of our customers is to access sensor networks implemented locally, using our proximity radiofrequency technologies, from a remote location. It is to recover or control the park from a PC (end user, maintenance operator, administrator,...) or a server (web, company,...).

BEENETIC Systems has developed an IEEE802.15.4 (proximity radio) - GPRS concentrator for this purpose. It coordinates the network activities on the park and ensures long distance communication via the GSM/GPRS (data link) protocol.

This device consists of the following elements :

  1. A local area network communication module (Zigbee example)
  2. A GSM/GPRS communication module
  3. An application microprocessor supporting system intelligence
  4. An eLinux operating system
  5. Information storage units (SD, MMC, Flash or hard disk)
  6. A complete set of interfaces (Ethernet, COM, USB host, LED's) enabling the hub to be inserted in multiple environments.

The software implementations available today are specific to the applications of our customers. Nevertheless, BEENETIC Systems will soon make available a generic interface to allow the use of this box in the context of more open applications.

The concentrator is now available in industrial box type DIN.
